Prince William, Kate Register Prince George’s Birth

Kensington Palace announced on Wednesday that the new dad will attend the Anglesey Show on Aug. 14. At the event, the Duke of Cambridge will watch gundog and falconry displays and meet with local young farmers. He is also scheduled to view some cattle judging before moving to the central show area, where he is expected to make a short speech. NEWS: Prince Charles nicknames his royal baby grandson “Prince Georgie” The Anglesey Show is the largest two-day agricultural event in North Wales and attracts more than 56,000 people. William, an RAF rescue helicopter pilot at Valley on the island, will attend the show’s second day. The event will feature a collection of livestock of up to 300 cattle and 800 sheep. There will also be 350 trade stands featuring agricultural products, clothing, crafts and vehicles. Meanwhile, William has been keeping a low profile since he and wife Kate Middleton welcomed their little bundle of joy last week. The three are currently staying at the Bucklebury home of the Duchess of Cambridge’s mother and father.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have formally registered the birth of Prince George, Kensington Palace said today. The Duke of Cambridge signed the birth register at Kensington Palace this morning, witnessed by a Registrar from Westminster Register Office. William and Kates occupations are listed on the document as Prince of the United Kingdom and Princess of the United Kingdom, respectively. Prince George was born July 22 at 4:24 p.m. London time. He weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces, according to an official announcement from Kensington Palace four hours after the birth. The day-old baby was in his mothers arms swaddled in a white blanket and poked his hand out, as if to greet the world. Its very emotional, Kate said. Its such a special time. I think any parent will know what this feeling feels like.
