Nicole Richie and Jessica Alba Brighten Up Baby2Baby Red Carpet

Nicole Richie

11, 2013 9:53 AM PST Loading… Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images Leave it to Nicole Richie to make a crop top gala-appropriate. On a red carpet that already had a lot going on including pregnant Drew Barrymore ‘s PDA-heavy appearance with hubby Will Kopelman and Rebecca Romijn debuting a chic bob the designer still managed to have a major fashion moment. Clad in a colorful silk maxi skirt and simple white shirt with floral applique on the shoulders (both by Alberta Ferretti), the star somehow made it seem like spring had come four months early. The combo also emphasized Nicole’s itty-bitty waistline, without exposing too much of her midriffproving there is a classy way to rock the crop top. So as not to take away from her orange, pink and blue ensemble the mom-of-two paired the look with minimal makeup and a sleek low bun. PHOTOS: More glam looks from the red carpet Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic The overall effect was quite stunning, but was it our favorite of the night? That, we’re not so sure aboutmainly because Richie’s got some serious completion from Jessica Alba , who showed up to the same event in a hot pink Reem Acra ball gown. As if the dress wasn’t jaw-dropping enough, Alba complemented her strapless dress with a romantic updo and turquoise and sapphire drop earrings. Which look was your favorite?
