‘She drinks a lot’: George Clooney teases Sandra Bullock and reveals how he pranked co-star Brad Pitt in hilarious new interview
The Hollywood couple will tie the knot in a small village outside Johannesburg, according to reports in the US. Sources claim they were persuaded to pick the venue after talking to chat show queen Oprah Winfrey. An insider said: “They are treating their marriage like a spiritual affirmation and don’t need big Hollywood glitz like Tom Cruise had in Italy.” The ceremony will include traditional African music and will be “simple and elegant”, a friend of the couple told US magazine OK! The pal adds: “They are so much in love. “Brad and Angelina have waited a long time for this chapter in their lives to unfold.” It comes after Jolie and Winfrey have grown close after the TV host was impressed by Jolie’s humanitarian efforts. She is said to have told her: “When you have the chance to capture lightning in a bottle you need to go for it.” The pal said: “Ange is grateful to have a big sister in Oprah, a person who understands her fears of commitment but is also a kindred spirit.” Winfrey, 52, is expected to be among several stars attending the low-key event, shortly before Christmas. She founded the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in a village south of Johannesburg. Madonna, her husband Guy Ritchie, actor George Clooney and Jolie’s co-star Daniel Craig are also said to be going. However, Brad Pitt’s publicist Cindy Guagenti denies the couple have picked South Africa as their wedding venue and insists that specific plans for the ceremony have yet to be made. Jolie was previously married to actors Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton.

Asked what the best prank he had ever played on a co-star was, George replied: ‘It was Brad, we were shooting Oceans 12 in my hometown in Lake Cuomo and he had a flyer sent around saying George only wants to be called by his character’s name Danny Ocean, don’t look him in the eyes…’ However, the story then got into the local paper. ‘She drinks a lot’: George Clooney jokes about his Gravity co-star Sandra Bullock in a new interview Just a bit of fun: George also revealed that Sandra used to date a mutual friend of his, which made filming Gravity awkward George added: ‘Jokes don’t translate at all, and they called me il divo, and said that I was treating the crew like s***.’ ‘When it got into the paper I came downstairs and Brad had the paper in his hand, and I said “You’re mine from here on out.” Brad just said, “Please don’t harm my children.” Yeah, he’s done some pretty rotten things.’ However, George was most playful when it came to discussing his Gravity co-star Sandra Bullock. Joke is on him: George admitted to playing a prank on his co-star Brad Pitt in the film Ocean’s 12 He revealed: ‘It’s tricky cause Sandy drinks so much that oftentimes it’s just hard to keep her upright.’ Adding: ‘No, you know, Sandy and I have known each other for over 20 years and we both were struggling actors when we first met. She was dating a friend of mine at the time who’s still a good friend of ours. ‘Every time we’re together it’s funny. She’s somebody I adore, really, she’s just fun to be in a room with. I’m sure people will assume people aren’t quite who they appear to be on screen – they’re shorter or taller or meaner or dumber – but Sandy is exactly what she appears on screen, an incredibly charming woman who’s really just fun to hang out with.
